Pleasing others as you say begins for each and everyone of us right from our early childhood. It's almost impossible to grow up without it.

Parents are not to be blamed because their parents did that to them when they were kids. It's in the genes I'd say.

It's almost second nature to 99% of all humans. Once we become adults, a few of us might choose to consciously grow out of unwanted people pleasing. This also happens when one experiences spiritual growth.
